Liftoff Challenge Night 2
April 12 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pmFREE!
Week two of our Liftoff Challenge – weekly simulator meets, where folks can come in and virtually fly the holy bejeezers out of virtual quads that don’t cost anything to break! What funz! Every week, we will have a different track, and different races – a race for the noobs as well as a more challenging track for the advanced pilots. We want everyone to have fun, so please be helpful and respectful – especially to those just learning. We are each others’ support in this hobby! Let’s build each other up, and help everyone become better pilots!
There will be plenty of rooms for folks that want to join in – and anyone who is interested in being a room host, please let us know, and we will help get you set up with anything you might need. To play, you just need PC gaming gear – Liftoff is on Steam, and is still only $20 I believe. (If you missed out on the pre-release, it’s still worth the full price!)
You will need:
- A computer capable of running Liftoff
- A Steam account and a copy of Liftoff on your computer
- An internet connection
- Enough common sense to make this paragraph a total waste of your time.
We will open rooms at 5 for practice heats, and from 6-9, we will be running races, having some freestyle rooms, and generally screwing around – whatever people want. There will be serious race rooms, as well as totally screwing around rooms, and we hope to get rooms set up for every skill level, from total noobs to total rock stars… We’re just gonna go with it, and see what happens!
Find our rooms by searching for “FliteFactoryNoob1”, “FliteFactoryNoob2” or “FliteFactoryPro1”, “FliteFactoryFreestyle1”, etc. When a room fills up, someone will be able to open a new room with the next number in sequence, i.e. “FliteFactoryFreestyle2”. Everyone is welcome!
*EDIT – We are going to just have open rooms in the Liftoff Lobby this week – We will have private rooms for Monthly Tournaments, which will likely coincide with our regular liftoff weekly runs! More people can join in! We just want to focus each week on a new or different track for 3 classes – Freestyle, Beginner, and Advanced – some weeks they may be the same map, but different tracks, but we would like to really focus on having a common map, so you can practice up, and move up in classes as you build your skills and confidence.
This week’s map is Hannover – the new map that came with the most recent update. We will run the standard race for the Noob class, and I will find a track on the workshop for more advanced pilots. Check back here soon – I will likely have a track picked out by day’s end! Get that practice in, folks! Here’s a Vid of the Noob track…
Advanced Track for this week: SpeedPark
This week’s Freestyle: Hannover No Track – All freestyle, All over the map!
